This is a 1990 944S2 Cab; WP0CB2945LN480522, with roughly 98500 miles. As far as I know, it has not been in an accident. The front end was resprayed at some time in the past from the looks of it. I was able to contact the previous owner in Houston to verify the some of the history before it got to Saint Louis, but was unable to find the original owner.
The clutch was replaced at 71,000 miles. Top was replaced in March 2001. Rear part (with window) was replaced in Nov. 2000. Front tires (Dunlop SP5000) new Feb. 2001. Rear (1 Dunlop) in Sept. 2000. Water pump, front seals, tensioners replaced Feb/March 2001. In May 2002 the following was done: new Half-shafts, Brakes (Pads, rotors, Flush &Fill), Cam Chain Tensioner, Hall Effects Sender. Total w/o the top is around $3700 in the last two years. I have also added a carbon fiber dash kit, wheel flaps (Tweeks), replaced the clock & heater control valve, boot is new as of May 2001, Cambermiester Strut Brace, and aluminized hood liner were all added last fall. S/S sill plates from Prestige Parts (UK) are also installed. Has tool kit, and never used spare. Replaced rear speakers with Infinity Kappa\'s. Fronts are Pioneer 2-way. Radio is a Sony AM/FM/CD, the original radio is NOT available. A Sears International Gold Battery (36 month full replacement/100 month pro-rated) was installed November 2002. The Colgan Bra stays with the car. Have COA from PCNA (birth certificate).
The only things I\'ll pull when the car sells are the Wet Okele Seat Covers and BK Fire Extinguisher Set-up.
Available at extra cost are: 17\" Cup 1 Wheels with Sumitomo HTRZ-II\'s with inlaid center caps; 1989 951S M030 Struts and shocks; the 8 volume Porsche Factory Shop Manual Set (6 vol. 944, 951 Supplemental Manual, Parts Book, along with the S2 Technik and Cabriolet Technik books); the Haynes Repair Book; 2 sets of plug wires ($199 retail); spare fuse panel with fuses and relays (from a 1986 951); side A/C vents; Service Covers for when you work under the hood; some cooling hoses; and other stuff that I have acquired over time to CYA.
We drove this car from St. Louis to Boise and back for Parade 2002 in July 2002. Otherwise known as 4300 miles in a little red car with one ticket and a rabbit. I didn\'t get the ticket, but cruised South Dakota at around 105 mph. The car ran great with or without AC on, hit the Grand Tetons and through without a hiccup and had a blast. Vehicle Condition:
All in all, this car is a nice driver. Could use a some paint (It looks good from a couple of feet and further) and new Stonegards but mechanically it\'s in great shape. The dash has the usual cracks, the passenger seat is four way power in great shape and the driver seat has a small (one inch seam split on one side) and is eight was power. Rear seats are like new (only groceries fit back there). Rear window is clear (only 2 years old). CarFax came up clean when I got the car with their $5000 guarantee. This car has been driven, but well maintained and the price reflects that. My price is also less than the PCA Valuation of $18,000. If you want a fun driver for a reasonable price then you should really look at this car!
